 Globos In Flames

 
Less successful globos come to dramatic ends: a few caught fire over our heads and plunged onto the happily screaming crowd. Another less aerodynamic globo exploded in the branches of a nearby tree, while others dropped onto distant houses or some unfortunate farmer's fields.


The possibilitity of disaster clearly adds to the enjoyment.
We watched the launch of ten globos -- five became fully airborne, but five others came down in a dramatic smoke, flames and drifting ashes.
